"Living Through the Holy Spirit"
Reality Check
• Are you alive today?
• Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior?
• Do you read and study the Bible?
• Do you pray in the name of Jesus?
• …So you must be perfect?
We need to live through the Holy Spirit
HOW CAN WE LIVE THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT?
1) Ask the Holy Spirit to _______ us of what Jesus did for us.
Romans 8:1 (NLT)
So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.
2) Ask the Holy Spirit to _______ us better thoughts.
Romans 8:5-8 (NIV )
Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the SPIRIT have their minds set on what the SPIRIT desires.
3) Ask the Holy Spirit to give us the ability to say “_______”
Romans 8: 9a (NLT)
But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are [now] controlled by the SPIRIT if you have the SPIRIT of God living in you.
4) Ask the Holy Spirit to turn our _______ from slaves, to children of God.

And so we should not be like cringing (bent in fear), fearful slaves, but we should behave like God’s very own children, adopted into the bosom of his family, and calling to him, “Father, Father.” 16 For his Holy Spirit speaks to us deep in our hearts and tells us that we really are God’s children.

HOW CAN I BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT?
1) ASK
John 7:37-39 (NIV)
On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
2) ...KEEP ON ASKING
Jeremiah 29:13-14a (NIV)
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,’ declares the Lord.
CONCLUSION
Holy Spirit, may you illuminate my mind through your Word
Holy Spirit, may you inspire my heart to obey your truth everyday
Holy Spirit may I know JESUS more personally and intimately today than yesterday
Help me Holy Spirit to walk consciously with Jesus day by day. Amen
