OBJECTIVES
• To understand the essence and importance of Baptism in the Holy Spirit within the biblical perspective.
• To learn the biblical reason and purpose (the why) of being baptize in the Holy Spirit.
• To gain a deeper knowledge of how the Holy Spirit works in the lives of the believers.
• To learn the benefits and blessings of being baptized in the Spirit.
• To manifest and show forth the fruit of the Spirit in our lives.
• To receive and experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit and be able to operate in the gifts of the Spirit.
THE WORKS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT:
THE INDWELLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT – The indwelling of the Spirit is automatic in relation with born-again experience. (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 3:16)
The Spirit’s indwelling is designed to:
Mature us causing us to grow in the Lord.
Give us victory over sin, making us holy.
The Spirit lives within us to give us the character of Christ.
THE EMPOWERING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
The empowering of the Spirit is seldom automatic and usually coming in response to prayer. (John 14:12,26)
The Spirit’s empowerment is designed to:
Equip us, enabling us to enabling the Lord.
Give us tools for ministry, making us effective.
The Spirit comes upon us in power to give us the ministry of Christ.
