I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Matthew 3:11 (ESV)

OBJECTIVES

To understand the essence and importance of Baptism in the Holy Spirit within the biblical perspective.

To learn the biblical reason and purpose (the why) of being baptize in the Holy Spirit.

To gain a deeper knowledge of how the Holy Spirit works in the lives of the believers.

To learn the benefits and blessings of being baptized in the Spirit.

To manifest and show forth the fruit of the Spirit in our lives.

To receive and experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit and be able to operate in the gifts of the Spirit.

THE PURPOSE OF BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT:

THE PERSON OF THE HOLY SPIRIT:

1. The Holy Spirit is the 3rd person of the Trinity.

He was present before the foundation of the world.

2. The Holy Spirit in the Old Testament.
